Mounting

Panels are mounted on Unistrut frames and channel. The panels are grouped as 4 sets of 6 panels on the frames. Panels are configured so that 6 panels are connected in series and these groups of 6 are then wired in a parallel configuration. The system has a nominal loaded voltage of 96 volts. The channel is bolted to the roof. Currently there are three angles available for mounting the panels 30, 45 and 60 degrees. Future work will focus on designing a solar tracking system that is both robust and simple.
