Opening Launch

The newly installed and commissioned 2.4 kW Solar Power Station at the University of Western Australia will be officially opened on Thursday 24th Jan 2003 at 9.00 am. This initiative builds on the broader commitment to the concepts of sustainability and energy efficiency at The University of Western Autralia.
The University has won a 3* energy rating putting it on the highest level of energy rating with one other tertiary institution in Australia.
The opening will be held at the Mechanical Engineering building at the University of Western Australia, Fairway Entrance No. 3.
The power station is on the second floor of the building and the opening will be held in room 2.49. The power station will be open for viewing and light refreshments available.
Press will be invited to attend, room 2.47 will be open for interviews.
